Absolutely beautiful place to stay in Banska Stiavnica. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, which is excellent. The room was very clean, organized and good looking, it had a nice atmosphere in it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was also large and very comfortable. If you come to visit in the summer, be prepared that there is no air conditioning in the room as the building is a UNESCO World Heritage Site – which wasn’t a problem for us, but there are options to stay in a room overlooking the garden – away from the snow. If you ask, the staff will kindly provide you with a fan. In the end, we preferred a warmer room that had a beautiful view of the city center right out the window. We definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
