A word from the author

Were I to praise to the utmost the ego-liturgical corners of my familiar life of tumultuous stiavnica stretching across world events from the last century to today, I must declare that I am increasingly longing for solitude and peace. I am caught up in observing things and time travel. An ice shower will no doubt perk you up and get you back on your feet, but the character of the hotel, its inimitable style, will plant the germ of the atmosphere of the time in you. With your reawakening you will discover in yourself perhaps a desperado or a prince, a poet or a tyrant. By your own speech you sing in your mind the forgotten lyrics of rock idols (out of earshot of the uninitiated, probably) in an impregnable bank vault shrouded in legends, observing the vulgar fantasies of Egon Schille's young rebellious artist of the time, Jimy Hendrix.

The style of the age is not determined by the forms and peculiarities of a particular kind of art: each of its art forms is but one of the infinite symbols of the inner world. Style, however, is only a kind of expression of the general life-feeling of a particular age. The past and memories have a powerful influence in the mind of modern man various trends and fashions of the past will manifest themselves, whether their bearers were rockers or romantics, 'Stones or Depeche Mode, Hendrix or Begees as a lifetime says: "Own style is everything".

Ten unique and original galleries are represented by the Divná Pani Luxury Gallery Rooms, where you can stay and experience an unforgettable atmosphere. This is a new and the only type of gallery accommodation concept in Slovakia, located in a magnificent burgher palace in the absolute centre of the historic town of Banská Štiavnica in a building that is a national cultural monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We would like to introduce you to a completely new concept of accommodation in Slovakia, located in the heart of Europe, in the centre of the extinct Stiavnica volcano, on the Blue Planet.
Each of the gallery-type rooms is furnished in an original way. The individual rooms represent artistic movements, in which you will encounter many original works of art. Feeling their beauty and uniqueness, the atmosphere of the gallery is not disturbed by anything. We want our guests to feel relaxed and "bohemian", without any disturbing elements, so that they can perceive the beauty of art with all their senses. That's why we decided to avoid any electronic devices in the rooms! The centuries-old architecture, together with period as well as contemporary furnishings in an environment of concentrated history, has an effective effect on the senses of the seekers of experiential interiors.
